Guess What? This weekend the super bowl is happening, did you know that?
Well, my friends Beak and Cam are hosting the millionth annual Super Bowl party, and this year we are having a Chili Cook-Off. I want to win, so I am bringing the heat with my “Super Spicy Delicious Chili”, and I’m sharing the recipie with you, just in case you might have any friendly Super Bowl Chili competitions that you might want to win.
Here are the tasty details:
“Super Spicy Delicious Chili“
1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
2 Large Yellow ONions
1/4 Cup Minced Garlic
3 Tbsp Chili Powder
2 Tbsp Paprkia
1 Tbsp Cumin
2 tsp Dried Oregano
1 lb Ground Beef
1 lb Ground Hot Italian Sausage (No Casings)
2 tsp Kosher Salt
2-28oz Cans Crushed Tomatoes
2-15oz Cans Kidney Beans
2-15oz Cans Chili Beans
2 Tbsps Canned Diced Jalapeno Peppers
The Good Stuff:
Greated Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Chopped Green Onions
Sour Cream
Diced Jalapenos
Heat the Oil in the pan and add your onions and garlic, be careful not to cry over it, cause that’s a lot of onions. Cook onions and garlic until tender. Add Chili Powder, Paprkia, Cumin, and Oregano. Add the meats and a little salt and cook until browned. Add all the canned stuff. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for at least an hour. Then if you are really serious, you’ll let the Chili sit in the refrigerator over night so that it can get extra delicious.
***Tip: If it’s too thick upon reheating add some tomato juice.
